Gala Games announces Battlestar Galactica themed Blockchain game

Codenamed "Project Saturn", Gala Games has announced an upcoming game that is planned to take place within the world of Battlestar Galactica, the legendary re-imagined series which aired for four seasons from 2003–2004 on Syfy. The game is being developed by Revolving Games in collaboration with Gala Games and Universal Games and Digital Platforms.

In the game, each 'season' will start with a surprise Cylon attack, leaving the Twelve Colonies in ruins. As a player, you take the role of a human survivor and spawn your base near one of the surviving colonies. You will need to regain territory and resources to withstand the impending Cylon attacks. As your territory grows, new threats will emerge. During this phase, cooperation and social connections will be key to help withstand the assaults. Once alliances are formed, you will be able to plan attacks on strategic Cylon targets to fulfill seasonal goals. Alliance and individual leaderboards will indicate how successful humanity was at suppressing the Cylon onslaught. All of your achievements during the season will contribute to how well you can withstand the threat from the attacking Cylons.

The game will take place in the same universe as the re-imagined series, approximately 40 years after the first Cylon War. Each Cylon attack that initiates the start of a new season will create different gameplay conditions that survivors will need to adapt to and plan accordingly.

Every colony will have its own levels of govrnance, technology and militarism. These alliances will need to actively coordinate and strategize to decide the outcome of each season.
