Luxury watch maker TAG Hueuer has just launched their new 'Connected Calibre E4' watch, which has the ability to display NFTs with verified proof of ownership.
After pairing a smartphone with the watch, the user is able to connect their crypto wallet (ie. Metamask, Ledger Live) and select the NFTs they want to display on your watch face. The size of the NFT images can be resized in order to fit the round watch screen, and both still images and GIFs are supported. The screen has a high contrast ratio and high fidelity color reproduction, meaning that the selected NFT will be displayed just as good as it would be on the web.
Similar to way Twitter displays verified NFTs, the TAG Heuer watch will also display verified NFTs in a hexagon. In addition, the brand is reported to have teamed up with community members from popular projects like Bored Ape Yacht Club and Clone X.
The watch, which starts off at $1800 for the 42mm model, can be purchased with cryptocurrency through the payment service Bitpay. Users can use a number of major cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin.
