Crypto company Binance and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo have entered a multi-year partnership, focused specifically on marketing and NFTs. Ronaldo announced the deal on Thursday in a tweet, stating that the partnership will give buyers "the opportunity to own an iconic piece of sports history."
As part of the deal, multiple Ronaldo NFT collections will be released per year, exclusively on the Binance NFT platform. The first of these collections is expected to drop later this year. Specific details on the collections have yet to be released, so it is unclear whether the NFTs will include attributes from his teams or other brand deals.
Just weeks ago, Binance signed a deal with singer The Weeknd to sponsor his upcoming 'After Hours Til Dawn' world tour. Although nothing has been officially announced, it certainly seems like Binance is making a point to tie down some of the biggest names in pop culture.
