Proof Collective acquires NFT duo Divergence

Proof Collective has announced the acquisition of Divergence, a London-based engineering duo comprised of Arran Schlosberg and Angharad Thomas. Divergence is known for a variety of blockchain projects, including Brotchain, The Kiss Precise and G-Money's Admit One.

As part of the acquisition, Schlosberg will become Proof's new vice president of engineering, while Thomas will become the company's new director of product, adding ambition and expertise to CEO Kevin Rose's existing team.

“If you rewind a couple of months, Kevin was one of our investors,” Thomas said in an interview. “We thought, ‘Why are you building over there and we building over here?’ Why don't we do it together and combine the technical R&D lab with Kevin’s incredible product vision and community building.”

The acquisition will help arm the company for the roadmap they have laid out, which includes future NFT drops, an exclusive in-person conference in 2023 and a heavily teased "social universe".
