Prada announces new Timecapsule NFT project

On the first Thursday of every month, Prada Timecapsule offers an exclusive product for men and women, available to purchase for 24 hours. In addition to this exclusive product, Timecapsule customers on June 2nd will be gifted an NFT, a GIF featuring the unique serial number of the physical item they purchased. At a later date, everyone who has ever been a Timecapsule customer (since its inception in 2019) will receive a similar NFT corresponding to their purchased item. Utility for the NFTs will be revealed via Prada Crypted, the brand’s new crypto discord server.

This Timecapsule drop features the work of Cassius Hirst (son of Damien Hirst). 100 shirts, available in both black and white, feature Hirst's signature mask and brain scan patterns and are made with fabrics from Prada's Linea Rossa high-performance line.

While the exact benefits for the new NFTs are currently unknown, Prada has said owners will be offered exclusive benefits and experiences. The NFTs will live on the Ethereum blockchain, existing alongside NFTs from Gucci, another famous fashion company.
