Liverpool FC Selects Sorare as its Official Global Partner
Soccer has bet big on Web3, and Sorare — an NFT fantasy sports company — is one of the biggest games in town. Now, one soccer club is broadening its partnership with the France-based blockchain company. Liverpool, that club, announced the news on Thursday, sharing that Sorare had become its official global partner.
As part of the deal, Liverpool fans will receive exclusive prizes related to their performances in the game. These include match-day perks, fan multimedia content, and more. All Reds players currently featured on the platform will remain there, so that fans can collect, trade, and compete with them.
The groundbreaking collaboration will also allow Liverpool FC to reach out to new supporters all around the world via Sorare, which spreads to 185 countries and over 2 million user base.
Sorare holds partnerships with more than 280 international soccer clubs playing in prestigious leagues like the Serie A in Italy, the Bundesliga in Germany, and La Liga in Spain.
Last year, LFC collaborated with Sorare to launch digital cards of first-team players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk on Sorare’s platform.

Sorare is truly pioneering the NFT wave in the sports world. Just two weeks back the NBA announced the launch of an NFT fantasy basketball game with Sorare. In July Sorare NFT sales were up 800% as soccer star Kylian Mbappé signed a deal with the platform.
